| The solid turbine is the heart of engine, and one of critical parts which decide the performance of complete machines and the time interval of overhaul, and its manufacture becomes the key to improve the performance of engine. After a thorough study of CNC milling, precision die forging, precision casting, grindings machining, electro-chemical machining(ECM), electrical discharge machining(EDM), according to the Physical Mechanism and the characteristic of EDM, EDM is considered as one of the most efficient methods of solid turbine machining. Based on this concept, the 3D-modeling of the solid turbine, EDM machining method of the solid turbine, design of electrode and its feed path are researched in the dissertation.The precise 3-D modeling of the solid turbine wheel directly influences the design precision of the electrode and electrode feeding path in EDM, and is the prerequisite of solid turbine with EDM Given the section data along the blades height, based on the free-form surface module in the typical CAD/CAM software UG NX , this dissertation completes the modeling of the blade, the wheel nave and the ring , disposes the transition between the wheel nave, the ring and the blade , and finally accomplishes the precise 3-D modeling of the solid turbine wheel.Combining the characteristics of EDM, this paper systematically analyzes simple electrode EDMMILL, shaped electrode machining and decomposed electrode machining adopted by EDM of solid turbine under different circumstances, and emphatically introduces the design and manufacture of the electrode, the feeding path of the electrode in those three machining methods. A new method using two heads electrode holders to clamp electrode is presented, which ensures the precision of the electrode installation, shortens the machining time and increases the machining efficiency.Taking a solid turbine from a certain factory as the experiment object, this paper uses the shaped electrode machined all passages between the solid turbine blades. The method using EDM technology to machine solid turbine is discussed, and analyzes the machining error and put forward solving scheme. |
