The integral turbine blisks with rim is a turbine that processes the blades and the disk in a same piece of material. The structure of it is lightweight and durable. It can improve the performance and significantly lower life-cycle cost of the turbine. Turbine is the heart of modern aerospace engines, the crucial parts which decide the performance of complete machines and the time interval of overhaul. However, process a turbine with complex shape and high precision in a same piece of material is a new challenge in the manufacturing technology. At present, many countries have devoted many resources to study the design and the manufacture of the rime turbine. They expect to break through this key technology as early as well, and to reduce costs of the aerospace engines and improve the performance of the complete machines.Electrical discharge machining (EDM) is very suitable for complex shapes, special materials precision machining parts, it has become the most effective way to finish machining the rimed turbine. This paper research rimed turbine processing technology and the development of the domestic situation base on a vast amount of information in the literature, and then, research the basic principles and the processing characteristics and the processing technology of the EDMFor given the data of several-section of a blade, the wheel and the ring, this paper use UGNX to describe the precise geometric modeling of the rimed turbine.The rimed turbine with EDM is a processing process of complex electrode along a complex path to feed. On the basis of entire known the geometric modeling of the turbine, research the optimal feed path with 5 axis,and then,based on the Matlab's nonlinear constrained, multi-variable optimization function fmincon , this paper gives a simple and practical approach to search the feed path.Do the basis of experimental study of the rimed turbine EDM. First analyzes the process key issue of the electrode with small size and complex shape. And then ,use a planar electrode to do EDM experiment to Search verify the correctness of the feed path , and grope the reasonable parameter with copper to EDM the heat metal alloy. Finally, do a channel EDM experiments to analysis, and resolve problems.
