It has been deeply studied on a new materials of semiconductor photocatalyst inrecent years. Titanium dioxide has become an important and developing photocatalystfor its higher stability and activity, cheapness, non-toxicity, difficulty to dissolve inthe acid and alkali conditions. Using zeolite special pore-forming, equality aperture, high surface area, strong high ion exchange capacity and excellent heat stability, weprepared nano titanium dioxide and zeolite composite. As the diameter of titaniumdioxide is restricted by zeolite pore-forming, at the same time the particle and zeolitecan affect each other, the composite can exhibit a lot of new characteristics, and isbeing studied increasingly.Using titanium tetrachloride and titanium potassium oxalate as titanium source, and 4A zeolite, ZSM-5 zeolite and natural zeolite(which is produced from JinyunCounty of Zhejiang Province) as main materials, we prepared nano titanium dioxideand zeolite composite. The results indicate that the acid-resistant of 4A zeolite is toopoor, and because of complexity of ZSM-5 zeolite interior, the content of titaniumdioxide in the zeolite is too low. So this two types of zeolites are not fit for the carrier. The natural zeolite can resistant strong acid, and its inside pore has a lot ofexchangeable cation, therefore the natural zeolite is a good carrier for the preparingcomposite.During the ion-exchange of the zeolite and titanium tetrachloride solution, it isapproved by two orthogonal experiment that when using 5 gram natural zeolite, thediameter of zeolite being between 60 and 80 meches, 2 milliliter titaniumtetrachloride, 3 hours of exchanging, it can be acquired the most content of titaniumdioxide. Using a series of tokens, such as XRD, IR, XPS, SEM, BET, PSD, TG-DTAand CEC, the results indicate that there is titanium in the pore of zeolite, and its beingis titanium dioxide. It concluded that the experiment was successful. The content oftitanium dioxide in the zeolite should be more improved.
