TiO2 photocatalysis is a novel technology in the degradation of pollutants. This study researched the influence of the different technical conditions and synthesized TiO2 by the sol-gel process. The TiO2 film was formed on the glass plate using the dip-coating method and its photocatalytic properties were evaluated by the degradation of methylene blue.TiO2 coupled photocatalyst was prepared by doping metal ions (Fe3+ , Cu+ , Cu2+) , metal oxides (Fe2O3 , Cu2O, CuO) , rare earth (La) and non-metal (N, S). The crystal structure and optical properties of the photocatalyst were characterized by XRD , UV-Vis and FS spectra. The results showed that the Cu2O and La doped TiO2 improved the photocatalytic properties and had different optimum doping content. Moreover, the doping changed the temperature of the TiO2 phase transformation, and shift the absorption edge of TiO2 to the visual light, and made the FS intensity decreased. These changes prove the visible-light response of TiO2 composite catalyst.On the other hand, we prepared the supported TiO2 on active carbon and sepiolite and investigated the technics.
