With the development of the textile industry, how to develop advanced loom control system is an important project in current loom machince field. And how to control the warp tension is one of the keys of advanced loom control technology. With the development of Internet and PC-post technology, embedded system has been the center of information technology industry in recent. Because of high-performance, the 16/32-bit RISC ARM7TDMI developed by Advanced RISC Machines Ltd has been the best choosen in many embedded resolution project. uClinux not only contains advantages of linux such as opensource, highly modularized, but also has widely sorts of drivers support and self-contained tools-chain. Embedded system for warp tension based on ARM7TDMI and uClinux architecture is developed under this background.In this dissertation, first introduce the warp control technology in domestic and international market, and presents the application of tension control in the loom control fields. Analyze the characteristic and implementation of electronic Let-off and electronic Take-up. Introduce the concept and components of software and hardware of embedded system, and embedded operating system platform. Then we present the thinking in design and implementation of this dissertation.The key points of this dissertation can be divided into four parts: the design and implementation of hardware architecture, the transplant and analyze of uClinux, the design and implementation of drive and application.We put forword the idea of design warp tension independent system consists of main circuit based on S3C44B0X and peripheral circuit, which can be integrated into the whole loom control system.Introduce the transplant process of uClinux, presents a boot loader program, and analyze kernel architecture of uClinux, which pave the road for further research.Presents the design process of drive under uClinux platform. We give the detail implementation of some main drive.Analyze and compare the characteristic of multi-process and multi-thread. Presents application program architecture of single-process and multi-thread. Analyze the characteristic and demand of textile technics and presents a communication protocol between this system and the host machine. In the end, presents the implementation of some threads and synchronization mechanism and mutex mechanism.In the dissertation, the control system gains the advantage of good freshness, fast response, good consistency and smooth warp tesion control function in every loom period. The system can meet the need of advanced loom and is of utility value.
