The paper stated a new dehydration craft of the obverse floatation gangue, based on the analysis of gangue's character of physics and chemistry, and the experiments on industry.By studying the physics and chemistry character of the gangue, three causes which make the gangue dehydration difficult were found: the first is the gangue slurry contains large numbers of clay stone granules, and some colloid granules;the second is lots of negative charges exist on the surface of these granules;the third is the gangue slurry has high conglutination. When these conditions considered, the negative charges must be counteracted if we want process the gangue slurry easily.How to select the medicaments for sedimentation was also stated in this paper. The way dehydrating the gangue by combining the two methods: neutralization, adsorption and shelving, was proved effective. The tests showed that it can make the content of floats reduce to 1g/1 below, and the consistency of the flow on the bottom of the concentrator increase observably. Research out: W1+P3, W3+P3, W15+P3 are three better methods of appending drugs, among them W15+P3 is the best. It 's better that control the consistency of gangue below 15%. When process the gangue with water, the PH of gangue slurry must be adjusted to 6.7-7.7 by appending neutralization medicaments, then add the adsorption drug into the slurry, and the effect will be assured.This paper also studied the equipment for sedimentation. The gangue slurry was dehydrated by using a deep cone-shaped setting tank without transmission, and the maintenance was needn't. Experiments indicate that this craft can make the consistency of the gangue slurry increase to 45%, and the content of floats reduce to 1g'l below. It has no harmful impacts while using the overflow in production process.
