In the past few years, the materials with nanometer scale have attracted much interestowing to their potential application in optical, conductive/superconductive, catalytic andbiological applications. Therefore, manipulating the morphology and architecture ofnanomaterials is always the study focus of scientist. Up to date, lots methods have beendeveloped to fabricate nanomaterials, and in which the surfactant-assisted microemulsionsystem is an ideal reaction medium to the synthesis of nanomaterials. A variety ofnanomaterials with different morphologies and uniform size have been prepared successfullywith this kind of system. In this paper,PbWO4 flowers, nanoribbons and nanorods have been successfullysynthesized via solvothermal method in CTAB/cyclohexane/n-hexanol/water microemulsion. The possible reaction mechanism is presumed and discussed. The influences of theconcentration of surfactant, lead ion sources, reaction time and temperature on themorphology are discussed.Microemulsion templates formed by sodium dodecyl sulfate (SDS), cetyltrimethyla-mmonium bromide (CTAB) and nonyl phenol polyethyleneoxy ether (OÏ€-10) ,respectively, were used to fabricate CaWO4 nanoparticles with different morphology. The possible reactionmechanism was proposed and explained. The effect of water pool, concentration of reactant, solvothermal condition on the product morphology is also discribed. Moreover, ZnWO4 and PbSO4 nanoparticles with several different morphologies weresynthesized in CTAB and SDS microemulsion. The products were characterized by transmission electron microscope (TEM), scanningelectron microscope (SEM), and X-ray diffraction (XRD) and Fluorescent spectra.
