Now almost all the copper companies in the world make charcoal powder,> heavy oil, green wood , diesel oil , liquefied petroleum gas , natural gas , ammonia and propane as copper refining reductant.For the reason of resource environment and economy those have exposed more shortcomings. Lots of civil companies have used the new type coal-radicle reductant as copper refining reductant by the reason of coal-radicle reductant can improve the fact of biology and circumstance protection,as well as reduce the cost of production. Yunnan copper company has attained notability effect by the use of coal-radicle reductant in fixed anode furnace.Now the company will build two 350t rotating anode furnaces and use coal-radicle reductant as reductant, Gansu jinchuan company will use it too. For the limitation of material component coal-radicle reductant lead to more slag sometimes dry slag that need pick slag. We must make sure that the anode slag have good mobility to show the advantage of rotating anode furnace in automatic expel slag.On the basis of the results of forerunner ,the author seeks slag with low melting temperature and better mobility according to the melt thermodynamics and phase diagram theory for the high melting temperature and bad mobility slag of Yunnan copper company .We analyze the effect of variety of fluxes on anode slag melting-point by measuring the hemisphere temperature and select the initialize flux.Then we can sure the fittest flux through the theoretical analysis the effect of flux on viscosity and industrialize experimentation. Through the measurement of soda, borax , lime, calcium fluoride, quartz to the melting temperature of salg and analysis in all,we take the lime as thebest selection.The main composition of slag in produce : CaO: 6.60 %~8.27% , SiO2 : 26.60%-26.98% , A12O3: 6.31%~6.40%, FeO: 30.32%-30.76%, melting point is 1115-1140°Cand we can get a better refining result.
