Copper anode casting slag is the solid precipitate cooled by anode casting plate,the main component of barium sulfate,copper and copper oxide.Currently,copper anode casting slag often returned directly in melting furnace or slag separation workshop,the presence of issues are low copper recovery,mold release agents can not be recycled and so on.This paper carried out the research techniques for recovering valuable metals from copper anode casting slag,to find more cost-effective method of casting slag treatment,it is great theoretical significance and application value when smelting slag comprehensive utilization of resources.Based on the phase characteristics and chemical composition in copper anode casting slag,developing the thermodynamics of leaching,two methods and technologies was proposed to separating Cu and Ba,Two-Stage cycle of leaching technology: “acid leaching with oxide to remove copper-hot acid leaching of barium” and “hot acid direct leaching of barium”.Experimental study on the technology conditions,and also,the regeneration of the release agent from the hot acid leaching solution were explored.It achieve the goal to efficient recovery of valuable metals from copper anode casting slag.The main results of this research are listed as follows:1.Based on the phase characteristics and chemical composition in copper anode casting slag,and carry out the study of leaching thermodynamics,the results showed that the casting slag containing mainly barium and copper with other valuable metals,copper existing mainly in the form of cuprous oxide and elemental copper,it can be oxidized leaching at low concentrations of sulfuric acid system,while barium exists mainly in the form of barium sulfate,only be leached in hot concentrated sulfuric acid.2.The process of Two-Stage cycle leaching of copper anode casting slag was studied,and the influences of the initial concentration of sulfuric acid,roasting time,liquid-solid ratio,roasting temperature and the amount of hydrogen peroxide were also investigated.Study on the technology conditions of barium with hot acid,and also,exploring the recycling mechanism of hot acid leaching solution.Results of leaching experiment show that Two-Stage leaching technology is feasible to leach copper and barium,it has the advantage of high recovery rate,however,there is a long process and large reagent consumption,among them,the optimal condition of oxidation leaching cooper removalis: the initial concentration of sulfuric acid is 3mol·L-1,reaction temperature 70 ?,liquid-solid ratio(mass ratio by volume)8:1,reaction time 2 hours,the quality of hydrogen peroxide is 8 times of theoretical amounts;Hot acid leaching of barium optimal conditions as follows: reaction temperature 340?,reaction time 50 minutes,liquid-solid ratio(mass ratio by volume)5:1;under this conditions,the recovery rate of barium are more than 90% and the total leaching rate of copper are more than 97%.3.The experimental research on hot acid direct leaching of copper anode casting slag,and results show that the technology has some advantages,such as the flow is short,the device is simple,high recovery rate of barium,however,the leaching rate of copper is slightly lower.The leaching rate of copper is 89.51% and the recovery rate of barium are more than 90% under the condition: reaction temperature 360?,reaction time 60 minutes,liquid-solid ratio(mass ratio by volume)6:1.4.The technology of dilution and regeneration release agent was explored by analyzing the chemical composition of hot acid leaching solution,and choosing effective methods and processing.The optimal of regeneration processing parameters are:pH=0.47,35% of the volume of leaching solution as diluted water.Based on the phase characteristics and chemical composition with the regeneration release agent,results show that it have a high purity and good recovery.
