Interferon is the first market launched gene medicine in China.It has several tens of international approved indications and hadbeen widely used to treat chronic hepatitis B in China withconsiderable social effects and economic returns. Recently more andmore attention has been focused on developing nature products whichhave the immunological regulation and antiviral functions.Interferon as a nature antiviral protein is favorite one.Since the first un-natural interferon was synthesized by AmgenCo. in 1981 the genetic engineering has been used to produceinterferon. In 1992 SFDA approved the production of interferon. Theseparation of cytoryctes which can affect the purity and therecovery of final product is the key procedure during thepurification of interferon. We compared the supersonic wave methodwith the lysozyme method for quassation of thallus. The resultsindicated that supersonic wave method gave higher protein recovery.After washing of the semi-product of cytoryctes with eluantconsisted of 2~4 mol/L urea,20mmol/L Tris,2mmol/L EDTA,1%TritonX2100,pH 8.5, the purity of interferon increased significantly.
