With population growth in the world and the rapid economic development, industrial and agricultural wastewater and life drainage rich in N, P nutrients enter into water, which make eutrophication of water body become worse. The aquatic environment of world was seriously poisoning .The technology of N(specially ammonia nitrogen), P removing has become one of hotpots of studies and application in wastewater treatment field.Zeolite adsorption which has nontoxic, harmless, efficient and economical virtues is a good ways to wastewater treatment. Its basic foundation is premium adsorption properties of zeolite .So studies on the adsorption of zeolite have important real significance.This paper summarized literature about the structure, adsorption dynamics and thermodynamics, modification of zeolite and its application in wastewater treatment. Based on them, the conditions of zeolite modifying by AlCl3 was explored, the adsorption properties natural zeolite to ammonia nitrogen and adsorption effects of aluminum modified zeolite to phosphor in solution was researched, the existing form of ammonia nitrogen was investigated by cyclic voltammeter. In addition, we did the experiment of light-pollution river water treatment by natural zeolite as filter material. There are four parts in this paper as follow.1. Under some conditions, Adsorption properties of the natural zeolite to ammonia nitrogen in the ammonia nitrogen solution made by laboratory and the token of interface electronic properties and infrared spectrums of zeolite before and after adsorption were discussed with static adsorption method .The result showed that liquid membrane diffusion and particle diffusion commonly control the rate of ion-exchange during adsorption process of the zeolite to NH4-N and its adsorption behavior is conform to the Langmuir equation. The saturate adsorption capacity of zeoltie to ammonia nitrogen is up to 17.4mg/g. Solid-liquid ratio ,zeolite size, temperature and pH of solution influence the adsorption effects of zeolite to ammonia nitrogen .The ion exchange is the major pattern for the adsorption of zeolite to ammonia nitrogen in solution .2. In order to improve adsorption properties of zeolite to phosphor in solution. We modified natural zeolite by AlCl3 and discussed optimization conditions aluminum modified zeolite preparing and the effect factors of influencing phosphor removing efficiency of aluminum zeolite.
