Supra-molecular chemistry is the chemistry about supra-molecular entity and the weak interactions of the moleculars . The formation of the supra-molecular is based on the weak intermolecular interactions which are weaker than the covalent bonds usually. These interactions include coordination bonds of metal ions, static gravitation, hydrogen bonds ,the van der Waals force ,the donor-acceptor interaction and so on.Metal-ion-assisted self-assembly is a powerful approach to supra-molecular architectures. This strategy mainly utilizes metal-ligand interactions to organize small moleculars into large assemblies. The ligand plays a key role in these processes. Kinds of pyrrol-2-ylmethyleneamine units are ideal ligands mentioned above. The preparation of them is easy and needn't counterions to keep neutral in the product, so it avoids disordering problem in the crystal lattice .the methods of purification is easy and it is easily to get crystals fit to X-Ray diffraction. This thesis got a new bis(pyrrol-2-ylmethyleneamine) Schiff Base ligand which uses 1,2-substituted cylcohexane as spacer ,and also its Ni(II) Cu(II) Zn(II) complexes .It was found that in these complexes there are not only routine hydrogen bonds but also unusual intermolecular interactions such as H-H bonds and metal-hydrogen bonds ,which contributed largely to the formation of supra-moleculars .when investigating the FT-IR of these complexes ,it was found that the vibration absorption of N-H in 3066cm-1 disappeared and two kinds of new apex appeared near 3433cm-1 and 2361cm-1 which were assigned to the vibration absorption of covalent M-N and coordinative M-N which consequently approved that the ligand lost the hydrogen atom of pyrrol-N when coordinating to form M-N bond.
