In this paper the method of preparing UF resin microcapsules via in-situ interfacial polymerization are reported.We emphasis on the effects of synthesis conditions for UF prepolymer and polymerization conditionsm of prepolymer on forming of UF resin microcapsules. It was discovered that the forming of UF resin microcapsules was the function of various conditions, such as synthesis conditions for UF prepolymer, acidic catalyzer, acidification time, polymerization temperature, polymerization time, condensate and its dosage and solidify temperature. The UF resin microcapsules prepared with such conditions had many merits, such as smooth inner and outer surface, complete morphology, good dispersity and transparence , etc. This will provide a good foundation for the preparation of electrophoretic microcapsules.In addition, the preparation of blue electrophoretic microcapsules are studied. Electrophoretic microcapsules with good morphology and resistancne to penetrability were prepared via in-situ interfacial polymerization using oil blue and TiO2 nanoparticles dispersed in tetrachloroethylene as core materials. Experiments shows that we are able to prepare desired electrophoretic microcapsules by controlling reaction conditions.Experiments shows that the method of in-situ interfacial polymerization for preparation of UF resin microcapsules had many merits, such as simple method , ordinary facility and maneuverable arts.etc.It is well for the synthesize of the electrophoretic microcapsules. Electrophoretic microcapsules prepared by us had good morphology and desired performance. This will provide a good foundation for the preparation of electronic paper.
