Chosen slurry simulated by clay existed in coal series as subjected investigated, the paper uses organic high polymers flocculants such as PAM, PEO, chitosan and polyacrylic acid-natrium and inorganic coagulants like PAC, CaCl2, Ca(OH)2 and KAl(SO4)2 to do flocculating settling experiments, and studies the evaluating indicators like sedimentation velocity, clarity and compaction of floc. It constitutes several appropriate agent system through flocculating experiments of single agent and co-effect of two kinds of agent; studies the influence of pH on flocculating settling experiments and discusses the flocculating mechanism by electrophoresis and electron microscope. All the agents constituted are applied on slurry processing, which is from Bailong Coal Washery and Taiyuan Coal Washery and studies the results on processing technology.According to the variable characteristics such as sedimentation velocity, clarity and compaction of floc, it sets up an overall merit index which uses the combination of the three indexes on the base of keeping the original...
