On the standpoint of coal petrography, coa 1 is composed with many macerals. Pyrolysis behavior of each maceral exists large difference. For Vitrinite and Inertinite is two dominating macerals in the coal macerals, possessing much percent.Studying its structure and pyrolysis behavior have important meaning.Carbon dioxide is the part of pyrolysis gases, next is hydrogen, again is methane and hydro carcon. But alkene and carbon monoxide is very few. Methane is the main part of gaseous hydrocarbon, and during the pyrolysis, there are the generation of methane and hydrogen. Studying the characteristics of evolution and kinetics of methane and hydrogen is the main method of studying the coal structure and determining the active position of the coal structural units.Pingshuo coal macerals and shendong coal macerals, especially inertinite and vitrinite, were selected as the studying object in the paper. Their coal ranks have little difference and their formed environment induces their different reactivity.Instrumental methods such as XPS, XRD and FTIR are used to study the structure of coal macerals.Through the thermal experiment TG-MS, the evolytion characteristics of methane and hydrogen are studied particularly. Single reactions of of methyl, methane and hydrogen are separated by Curve-fitting during pyrolysis of PI, PV, SI and SV, calulating their kinetics parameters. Coal structure and...
