It is one of the main forms that fatigue failure destroys welding structure. Tensile stress reduces the fatigue performance of welding structure and compressive stress helps to improve fatigue performance. Utilizing the transformation of bead metal can reduce tensile stress directly in the course of welding, even produces compressive stress, to improve the service life of welding structure effectively. This study uses ANSYS software to analyze residual stress considering transformation in welding joint. Having discussed the mechanism of transformation and the distribution of residual stress, researched influence factors and influence laws of residual stress. And, compared compute results with experimental date.Though researching transformation mechanism of residual stress of rigid constrained straight pole, following conclusion can be obtained: transformation stress reduces tensile stress which caused by thermal contraction, and turns tensile stress into compressive stress in some conditions. When the transformation starting temperature is higher than 600 ℃, residual stress is in state of tensile stress condition, and the value of stress reaches the yield strength of the material. When the transformation starting temperature is...
