In this thesis, poly(vinyl alcohol) (PVA) electrospun fibers, PVA/Sodium alginate (SA),PVA/Soluble Starch (SS),PVA/Chitosan (CS) blend electrospun fibers and cellulose acetate butyrate(CAB) electrospun fibers were prepared via choosing solvents, controlling polymer concentrations, spinning voltage and solidification distance. The main findings are the following:1,The imported PVA1699(Fluka)/water solutions were electrospinnable with polymer concentrations at 5-8 w/v %, spinning voltages at 6.6-15 KV and solidification distance at 5-25 cm, and the nanofibers were thus resulted.2,PVA1799 (made in China) had poor electrospinnability because of containing lots of metal ions. Dialysis and ethylene diamine tetraacetic acid (EDTA) were used for improving electrospinnability of the PVA. The polymer solutions with EDTA at 0.18 w/v % produced the diameter of nanofibers about 180nm.3,Three blend solutions of PVA1699/ Sodium alginate (SA), PVA1699/ Soluble Starch (SS) and PVA1699/Chitosan (CS) were suitable for the electrospinning. The concentration of PVA1699 was 8w/v%, the spinning voltage was 10KV, and the solidification distance was 10cm. The polymer solution with SA (0.5-1w/v %) resulted the diameters of PVA/SA nanofibers between 110nm and 170nm.The polymer solution with SS (2-4w/v %) produced the diameters of PVA/SS nanofibers between 220nm and 500nm. The polymer solution with CS (2-3.5w/v %) produced the diameters of PVA/CS nanofibers between 200nm and 500nm.4,CAB nanofibers were firstly obtained via electrospinning. The mixed solvents of acetic acid and acetone were the right solvents for the electrospinning of CAB, and the...
