Cellulose Acetate Butyrate which is synthesized by etherification among Acetic Acid, Butyrate and cellulose is a Derivative of a natural macromolecular compound——cellulose. Coexisting of Acetyl, Butyryl and Hydroxyl within CBA and the content confirmations among the three in a certain scope ensure the widely application of CBA as a Coating Resin. The present thesis views CAB as a resin with hydroxide and adapts it to a UV-Curable Coating Oligomer through two different chemical reactions. The first part examines the Etherification between CAB and NMA. This experiment chooses P-Toluene Sulfonic Acid as catalyst, P-Hydroxynisole as inhibitor and produces CAB-g-NMA. The present thesis makes a systematical study of the causes which influence the reactions, the structure of the product and the UV-Curable properties. The result of the experiment suggests that conditioned by the current experiment and uses Butanone as solvent and the mole feed ratio of hydroxyl in NMA and CAB is 0.8, the replacement rate of hydroxide of CAB is 24%. The graft product not only upholds the fundamental property of CAB but also a multifunctional UV-Curable resin Besides, The hardness, abrasion resistance and solvent resistance of the UV-Curable coating has improved. The second part tells about choosing the IPDI and Acrylic Acid as modifier and synthesizes the CAB-g-PCLA and CAB-g-HEA. The Synthesized reaction adopts the "two-step" method which first synthesizes NCOPCLA and then reacts with CAB. This paper also investigates how the reaction time, reaction temperature and feed way impact the synthesis of the product. The result shows that adding prepolymer to react and replaces the 90% hydroxy of the CAB, The replacement rate of hydroxy of CAB achieves 46%. The test of coating performance suggests the graft polymer is an aligomeer which also preserves the characteristics of CAB. It features by adjusting to the subtle variation and flexibly adjusts the hardness and flexibility of UV-Curable Resin by ways of modifying the length molecular-chain between CAB and double-bound groups. The present thesis makes a systematical study of the interdependence between the chemical structures of graft copolymer and membrane performance based on the experimental results and lays a sound basis for the widely application of CAB in the UV-Curable coating.
