The paper is on the basis of analyzing and summarizing the characteristics and main influential factors of overburden failure in the full mechanized top-coal caving working face, and make use of multiple regression theory to research the predicting formula of water conducted zone height in the full mechanized top-coal caving working face.The result is applied to the research zone(Tie-bei coal mine).In terms of geology and mining condition of the research zone,simulating the displacement fileds, the stress fields and the failure fields with FLAC3D in different mining thickness.The finally distribution configuration of water conducted zone is similar "saddle"with high in amphi and low in middle,which mechanism is analyzed.It is through studying the mechanism and influential factors of inrush sand of loosening sandstone , the predicting formula of which with the water head height as the criterion is researched ,with the condition of critical hydraulic of the seepage failure .The study result will apply theoretical judgment for setting down the measures of preventing from water in the research zone and similar zones.
