Multistage fluidized bed is provided with high thermal-mass transmission performance, the high utilization ratio of heat quantity druing the whole process and drying uniformity ect .so that it is advantageous in field of drying. But the traditional one has the shortcomings of adjustable measure, operational stability and operational domination, which confine its applications. At present ,the multistage bed with flooding pipes is wildly used in many fields, it is more advantageous in the adjustable measure and operational stability than traditional one, But in the case of large gas /solid ridio, due to the large solid flux, the use of tray column is not suitable because the downcomer area will be increased drastically, leading to the reducing of mass transfer area, tray efficiency and column processing capacity. At the same time ,it is very important for its design to realize the phenomena of its continuous and stable fluidization. The experimental equipment is designed by the author for investigating the hydrodynamics and drying characteristics of the new sieve baffle tray. The experimental result is as follows: the multistage fluidized bed with draft tubs have some different properties from a conventional one, such as lower stable pressure drop, higher disposal capacity and larger range of controlled operation and especially improve the fluidized performance of the material. Besides, a multistage fluidized bed with draft tubs possesses the characteristic of a spout—fluid bed and the function of...
