The combination technology of high voltage pulsed corona and ozone is a new kind of wastewater process, it utilizes the synergism of the two methods to produce more hydroxyl radicals. Hydroxyl radical can react lively with dye, destroy the colour system and aromatic nucleus, and generate colorless organic acid, aldehyde and so on, even degrade dye into CO2 and H2O, and finally achieve the goal of decolorization and organic compound degradation.Through the contrast of decolorization effect and CODCr removal efficiency of 500mg/L acid red B solution by separate treatment and by combination treatment on the optimum experimental conditions got from orthogonal method, the synergism of high voltage pulsed corona and ozone was validated. The experimental results show acid red B degradation by corona accorded with zero-order kinetics, the degradation by ozone or combination treatment accorded with first-order kinetics, and the reaction rate of combination treatment was higher than that of...
