In this dissertation, the cathodic reduction behaviours and kinetic characteristics of m-nitrobenzoic acid (mNBA) was studied in sulfuric acid. Furthermore, the electrosythesis of 5-aminosalicylic acid was taken in sulfuric acid with mNBA as reactant. At the same time, electroreduction behaviors of mNBA and the effects of the position of substituted groups on the characteristics of the electroreduction of substituted nitrobenzeoic acid were investigated in ionic liquid 1-methylimidazolium trifluoroactate too.The cathodic reduction behaviours and kinetic characteristics of mNBA was studied in sulfuric acid through different types of techniques such as cyclic voltammery, quasi-steady-state polarization, chronoamperometry and etc. The results showed that the most suitable electrode material was copper; The peak current of reduction of mNBA in sulfuric acid increased with the increase of scan rate , temperature and concentration of mNBA. The electrode process was controlled by diffusion, and it was followed by the irreversible chemical reaction. SnCl2 has good catalyze for the electrochemical reduction of mNBA. At the same time, it was also showed that the relation between the reduction peak potential of mNBA and acdity was linearity, while with increasing of acidity, the peak...
