BaTiO3 is a basic electro-materials widely used in the manufacture of thermistors, multilayer ceramic capacitors(MLCC) and soon. With the development of technique of micro-electronics, the powders of BaTiO3 should have some characteristics of highly pure,ultrafine and distributing equably and soon. The performance of electronic ceramics are influenced by the sefactors such as size,configuration,distributing status of powders of BaTiO3. Especially when the size of powders of BaTiO3 reach nanometer grade, the performance of electronic ceramic should be enchanged very greatly. At present, the an hydrous methods are predominated in production of powders of BaTiO3 in our country. They are low pure and thick by this method, which aren't satisfied with the requirement of technique of micro-electronics. The techniques of producing better quality powders of BaTiO3 are monopolized by the chemical factory of a few developed foreign countries. The nanometer powders of BaTiO3 rely on import more than 90% in the market of our country. So exploiting the method of synthesizing nanometer powders of BaTiO3 with some advantage such as lower cost,on the more mild condition,more simple operation etcthatis imperative and actual need of the development to felectronic device.According to the above mentioned aim, in this paper, the hydrothermal synthesis of crystalline powder of barium titanate was studied with Ba(OH)2 and (C4H9O)4Ti as the hydrothermal precursors. As the same time, NaOH has been entered the powders to adjust PH, and Polyethylene glycol(PEG) has been entered the compound to change the shape of barium titanate. It was found that the hydrothermal BaTiO3 crystallites can be somewhat tailor made by controlling the reaction conditions and the kind of the organic template. The powders were characterized by XRD, TEM and TGA. Thus the most optimistic route of synthesizing the nanometer powders of BaTiO3 was achieved.Experiment result indicate: The PEG organic template has two kind of polarized influences to the BaTiO3 nanoparticle in the hydrothermal, on the one hand is to make the crystal grain grow enormously, on the one hand is to causes...
