The comber is a widely applied spinning machine which has been an important equipment in spinning industrial. With the development on the technology of cotton spinning, the requirement for the comber has also been increased enormously. The machine driving system of the conventional comber is based on lubricating complicatedly in the grease, which has the following disadvantages: various driving gears, complicated holistic framework, various adjusted parts, bad interchange between people and machine. Aiming to simplify the driving framework of the machine and reduce the machine failure when it ceases, the dissertation proposes a novel configuration structure for the electric model of the comber. It introduces a driving system which employs the four motors driving mechanism separately, and uses PLC,the servo control technology and the field communication technology. In this driving system, we adopt the industrial electric control to replace the mechanical control. It makes a comprehensive reconstruction for the traditional driving system of the comber. We also have performed an examination for the new comber in the lab. It has built a firm foundation for the application and popularization of new machine.Chapter I Summarize the research background and the development of comber; briefly introduce the processing assignment and the technique procedure; and also discuss the content of the research.Chapter II Analyze and study the work flow and main parts of conventional comber and build a firm foundation for the following reform and design of the system.Chapter III Bring forward the proposal that employs four motors to drive separately, simplify the driving system, and make mathematic module according to the harmonious operating principle of comber' s output spindles to avoid the disadvantages of conventional comber in driving. Chapter IV Estimate the working load, install the hardware, test the software, build test-bed for some experiments without load and with some load, and reach a satisfying outcome; also build a firm foundation for the application and popularization of new machine. Chapter V Summarize the content and outcome of the research and propose the way for further development.
