Marine are mixed alkaloids, which made of more than 98 percent oxymatrine (OM) and a very few Oxysophocarpine. OM is effective components of the Chinese traditional medicines which posses good therapeutic effect in clinical therapy to the hepatic injury, urgent or chronic hepatitis.Basic physicalchemical properties and the stability of marine were investigated. Marine was easy soluble in phosphate buffers at different pH condition and stable at high temperature. It was shown that the drug was insensitive to oxygen and light. But weight added a little in moisture. No significant difference in absorption rage between each segment of the rats' intestine by the method of everted gut sac.A sustained released tablet of twice daily administration was designed and prepared by using hydroxypropyl methylcellulose (HPMC) as basic matrix material. High performance liquid chromatographic method was conducted to assay the content of OM in tablets. Dissolution was also detected with the HPLC method. On the basis of single-factor tests about prescription and technics, some...
