There are many threats of water body during the coal mining because of the complexity of the hydrological geology condition in out many coal mines. It is a very important item for modern coal mining technology that how to mining the coal in under the water body safely and rationally. This paper realized the destroy condition of 3 seam roof, and had the intuitionistic and clear cognition about "two-zone" through the observation of over strata' destroy condition with drills drilled to roof of seam in gob, and based on the analyzing of affection of Quaternary System clay's lithology connecting the geology condition in CaiYuan coal mine. This paper obtained many results based on the theoretic calculating, numerical simulation and proving with electrical method as following: â‘  The depth of Quaternary System's bottom interface is 90-105m, and stable relatively in all the area. â‘¡ The height of the watering fissures is 21.5m because the height of caving zone is about 10m after the mining of all the 3 seam (4 layers), and the result basically accord to the result of theoretic calculating and numerical simulation; â‘¢ The size of coal pillar and rock pillar for preventing water is 25.7m, and the conclusions were proved to be credibility in the conducting practice.
