Faced with the increasing problems on the resources and environment today, most people pay more attention to make rational use of resources, and to consider the influence on environment caused by human activities. Slag of blast furnace discarded on the bank of the Jingsha rive by Panzhihua Steel and Iron Cor (PSTC) has been threatened the security of the rive system. Furthermore, the unhandy slag contains lots of useful metal, such as titanium, aluminum and magnesium. It is a great waste in fact. Based on yielding 4 million tons'iron of PSTC every year, the out put of slag of blast furnace will be over 3.2 million tons, in which the component TiO2 reaches to 900 kt/y. Inland scholars have made a lot of investigations in the field of the utilization of blast furnace slag for seeking methods to recover titanium and solve the environment pollution. So, it is very important to find out a sustained development path with recycle economic viewpoint for preventing second pollution and recovering resources.Experiments on enrichment and separation of Ti and Al from the blast furnace slag have been made systematically. Firstly, a significant breakthrough meaned that the high digestion effect could be obtained in the lower sulfuric acid concentration after making a series of adjustments about acid concentration, ratio of acid over ore and reaction time as well. Secondly, through analyzing the influence of the ionic product K SP of NH4·Al(SO4)2, the solution acidity, the quantity of (NH4)2SO4, the temperature and residence time of the crystallization, the optimal condition for...
