The nonionic thermosensitive water-soluble copolymers P (NIPAM-AM-HEMA) of N-isopropylacrylamide (NIPA), acrylamide (AM) and hydroxyethyl methacrylate (HEMA) were synthesized by free radical aqueous solution copolymerization, while HEMA is the first time to be used as the performance modified monomer. The ionic copolymer P (NIPAM-AM-HEMA-NaAA) was prepared by incorporating the fourth monomer sodium crylic acid (NaAA) to the molecule structure of P (NIPAM-AM-HEMA) . The copolymer structures were characterized via IR Spectrum and ~1H-NMR Spectrum. The effects of the reaction conditions such as reaction temperature, time, initiator concentration and various monomers concentrations on the performance of the copolymer solution were studied. The influence factors on thermosensitivity of the copolymer solution were studied. The thermosensitive mechanism of copolymer solution was studied via the fluorescence Spectrum, intrinsic viscosity, DSC and oscillatory rheological experiments. The effects of copolymer structure, concentration, temperature, shear rate and surfactant (SDBS) on the performance of copolymer solutions were studied. The results show that the conditions of polymerization reaction have notable effect on the performance of the product. The intrinsic viscosity of copolymer increases at first then decreases with reaction temperature rising. The apparent viscosity of the copolymer solution declines with the initiator concentration increasing. When the...
