The technology of photocatalysis is a new developing technology for dealing with the environmental pollutions. Nanosized TiO2 is used extensively in this field as photocatalyst for its high activation and good stability. Based on the potocatalysis mechanism of TiO2, an experiment about simultaneous desulfurization and denitrification from flue gas using TiO2 was carried out. In experiment further investigation has been done about the preparation of TiO2 photocatalyst, designing of photocatalysis reactor and the influencing factors when applying to desulfurization and denitrification. By changing some factors which influences the efficiency of desulfurization and denitrification, such as the concentration of O2, the relative humidity, and the stay time, the optimal technics conditions about simultaneous desulfurization and denitrification can be confirm. The efficiency of removal SO2 and NO can be achieved 100% and above 40% respectively. According to the results, the mechanism of removal SO2 and NO based on TiO2 photocatlysis can be put forward. There are important theory meaning and application value in the future about this research.
