| The overload state of urban highway and freeway is in dire need of maintenance, which accelerates the research and application of modified asphalt emulsion. Modified asphalt emulsion has many virtues, such as conserve energy, conservation of resources, environmental protection, improving the working condition. It applies in highway engineering widely. Microsurfacing has been considered one of the measures on repairing road. At the same time, asphalt emulsion has applicated in the fields of waterproofing, anticorrosion in metallic material, soil improvement, drilling fluid lately.Part one: Study evolve in domestic and overseasThe general introduction were given about the progress of asphalt emulsion, class, preparation, emulsified mechanism, stable mechanism. The comparative detailed introductions were given about the application and practical standard of (modified) asphalt emulsion in domestic and overseas.Part two: Preparation and studies on modified asphalt emulsion1. The modified asphalt emulsion were produced by adding SBR emulsion. The results show that the production were adapted to blanket coat and blinding course in the road.2. The modified asphalt emulsion were produced by adding SBR/organobentonite emulsion and discussed the optimal technics. The results show that the production were adapted to microsurfacing in highway.Part three: Application of asphalt emulsion on anticorrosion in metallic material1. The corrosion behavior of A3 steel prepared by coating emulsified asphalt with different coating thickness, different corrosive time and different electrolytes was studied by polarization curves method with electrochemical impedance spectroscopy(EIS). It could provide the gist of study and application for water-borne asphalt anticorrosion coating. 2. Emulsified asphalt was modified with water-borne epoxy resin as modifier, the corrosion behavior of A3 steel prepared by coating asphalt-epoxy with different coating thickness, different corrosive time and different electrolytes was studied by polarization curves method with electrochemical impedance spectroscopy(EIS).Part four: Rheological behavior of organobentonite/SBS blends modified asphalt The introduction were given about the rheological behavior test methods of asphalt on high temperature and low temperature in American strategic highway research program(SHRP). The dynamic mechanical properties of the organobentonite/SBS blends modified asphalt were studied. The addition of the modifier improved the performance of the asphalt at high temperature increased and the creep stiffness of the original asphalt after aging at low temperature, decreased the creep rate and increased the performance of the asphalt at low temperature. |
