Studies On The Chemical Constituents And Extracting Technology In Albizzia Julibrissin Flower

Flos albiziae is dried flower of Albizzia Julibrissin Durazz, which is commonly used for the treatment of anxiety, depre- ssion and insomnia. It is a well known Chinese medicine plant. The function of calmming the nerves is the same to albizia bark,however,the effect of antidepression is better than albizia bark. Some compound preparations on antidepression, for example,"jieyuhehuantang","jilihehuanyin"contained flos albiziae. Pharmacology experiment showed that flos albiziae had effect on sedative and hypnotic action and was better than semen ziziphi spinosae in the same dosage. Pharmacology experiment in animal model of the high selected on antide- pression indicated that flos albiziae extract by water with the swimming test had obvious antidepression effect and showed that the petroleum ether and ethyl acetate extract were active fraction. The reports on sedative and hypnotic effects of flos albiziae are more than antidepression, however, little study has been carried out on the chemical constituents.
