With the continuous improvement of environmental rule of law in ourcountry and the continuous enhancement of people's environmental awareness, the environmental amicable paint, which has excellent property and isharmonious with the environment, has attracted many countries of the world. In our country, we began to research the waterborne coatings from the 60s ofthe last century, and it has had a great development after the 90s. But the rateof market possession of the waterborne paint is low. The main reason is thatthe waterborne paint has many disadvantages such as bad water-resistedproperty, long time to form film, weak resistance to atmosphere, corrosion tometallic material etc. So it is necessary to develop the waterborne paint withhigh properties. For developing the waterborne coating with high propertiesand considering the characters of epoxy resin, acrylic resin, fluorinated resinand waterborne coating, we selecte the fluorinated acrylic ester monomer tomodify the epoxy resin and prepare the waterborne coatings. Then an excellentcation waterborne resin was synthesized. This cation waterborne resin can beapplied to the preparation of waterborne coatings. The main content of this thesis is that the fluorinated-acrylic monomerand acrylic monomers were used to modify the epoxy to prepare the cathodicresin .The epoxy resin was the main body, the fluorinated-acrylic monomerand acrylic monomers were the objects. And the waterborne cation resin wasprepared. Then it was mingled with pigments and prepared into cathodicelectrophoretic waterborne coating and surface coating.Firstly, the definition, the classification and the preparation method ofwaterborne coating were mentioned;the development and actuality, and thecharacteristic of fluorinated coatings were discussed. Then the principle, development actuality, the properties and purpose of electrophoretic coatingswere introduced, the choice and development of the main body resin ofelectrophoretic coatings were discussed. It was concluded that it is necessaryto develop the waterborne paint with high properties.Based on a lot of documents, we introduced the property testing and thetoken methods of the coatings. The pretreatment of the metal material wasrecited, and the problems of the electrophoretic coating film appearing duringthe experimental process were analyzed. The resin modified by acrylic monomers and the resin modified byfluorinated acrylic monomers were researched and compared. First of all, weintroduced the principle of experiment, and listed the sequence of steps inmain chemical reaction. In the meantime we optimized the experiment factorsand conditions. The factors containing the epoxy value, ratios of acrylicmonomers, temperature and time of co-polymerization reaction as well asorganic amine were determined. The effect of the conditions on the propertiesof resin and film were discussed。The modified cation resin was mingled with the pigments, and then theelectrophoretic coating was prepared. The process of the electrodeposit, theelectric current(voltage), solid centage, time, distance of the electrophoreticpoles etc were discussed. So the optimized electrophoresis conditions weredecided. The preparation of the waterborne surface coating and the properties ofthe fluorin modified resin were studied. Compared with the no-fluorinmodified resin coating, the fluorinated resin coating has better properties suchas self-cleaned, brine-resistant, aging-resistant and so on, and there is nodifference in rigidity and adhesion between them.At last, it is concluded that the fluorin modified resin is better than theno-fluorin modified resin in properties such as self-cleaned,brine-resistant,aging-resistant and so on.
