With the continuous improvement of environmental rule of law in our country and the continuous enhancement of people's environmental awareness, the environmental amicable paint, which has excellent property and is harmonious with the environment, has attracted many countries of the world. In our country, we began to research the waterborne coatings from the 60s of the last century, and it has had a great development after the 90s. But the rate of market possession of the waterborne paint is low. The main reason is that the waterborne paint has many disadvantages such as bad water-resisted property, long time to form film, weak resistance to atmosphere, corrosion to metallic material etc. So it is necessary to develop the waterborne paint with high properties. For developing the waterborne coating with high properties and considering the characters of epoxy resin, acrylic resin, fluorinated resin and waterborne coating, we selecte the fluorinated acrylic ester monomer to modify the epoxy resin and prepare the waterborne coatings. Then an excellent cation waterborne resin was synthesized. This cation waterborne resin can be applied to the preparation of waterborne coatings.The main content of this thesis is that the fluorinated-acrylic monomer was used to modify the epoxy and reacted to diethanolamine and acetic acid. And the waterborne cation resin was prepared. Then it was mingled with pigments and prepared into waterborne coating and surface coating.Firstly, the development and actuality, and the characteristic of fluorinated coatings and epoxy resins were discussed. the definition, the classification and the preparation method of waterborne coating were mentioned.Based on a lot of documents, we introduced the property testing and the token methods of the coatings. The pretreatment of the metal material was recited.The resin modified by fluorinated acrylic monomers was researched and compared. First of all, we introduced the principle of experiment, and listed the sequence of steps in main chemical reaction. In the meantime we optimized the experiment factors and conditions. The factors containing the epoxy value, ratios of acrylic monomers, temperature and time of co-polymerization reaction as well as organic amine were determined. The effect of the conditions on the properties of resin and film were discussed。The preparation of the waterborne surface coating and the properties of the fluorin modified resin were studied. Compared with the no-fluorin modified resin coating, the fluorinated resin coating has better properties such as self-cleaned, brine-resistant, aging-resistant and so on, and there is no difference in rigidity and adhesion between themAt last, it is concluded that the fluorin modified resin is better than the no-fluorin modified resin in properties such as self-cleaned,brine-resistant,aging-resistant and so on.
