Ionic liquids have been applied successfully in organic synthesis, catalysis, electrochemistry, and inorganic materials synthesis due to their unique properties, such as nonvolatile, nonflammble, high thermal stability, excellent electrochemical character and tunable solvency etc. With the development of ionic liquids, more and more ionic liquids with special function are required to satisfy the various demands and enrich the fundamental theory of ionic liquids. Meanwhile the synthesis of ionic liquids is usually complicated and costly which limit their large-scale applications in industry. Due to these problems, finding some new preparation process of ionic liquids with simple manipulation and low costs is also the most important task for industrial applications. In order to keep up with the trend, nine novel ionic liquids and ionic liquid analogues which haven't been reported were prepared in the paper. The main contents are as follows:1. Six novel ionic liquids based on pyruvic were prepared. They are 1-methyl-3-ethylimidazole pyruvic (EMIMX), 1-methyl-3-butylimidazole pyruvic(BMIMX), 1-methyl-3-pentylimidazole pyruvic (C5MIMX), choline pyruvic(ChX), tetraethylammonium pyruvic (Et4NX), tetrabutylammonium pyruvic(Bu4NX)。 They were characterized by FT-IR, 1HNMR, DSC, and their structure andcomposition were confirmed accordingly. The glass transition temperature of themand other physical properties, such as conductivity, solubility, water content andthermal stability were determined.2. Three novel ionic liquid analogues were prepared. They are tetrabutylammonium bromide/ imidazole(Bu4NBr/ IM), choline chloride/imidazole (ChCl/ IM), and hexafluorophosphate 1-ethyl-3-butylbenzotriazolium (C2BtPF6/ IM). They were characterized by DSC, the deep eutectic temperature and the molar ratio according was found. Their properties such as viscosity, conductivity, solvency and electrochemical stable window were determined and found that two of them have strong resistance to reduction.
