Polyaspartic acid (PASP) is a kind of scale inhibitor and polymer of amino acids which has attracted much attention of domestic and international researchers. There is no phosphor in PASP, it is not poisonous and can be totally biologic decomposed in the environment. It has been generally accepted and considered as a green polymer and a substitute water processing medicine. Its use is very extensive, involving the industry water processing, agrochemical, medicine, day chemicals etc. In this work the preparation and its influencing factors were studied. The product was characterized and the static and dynamic scale inhibiting performance was studied in detail. The scale inhibiting mechanism and its influencing factors of PASP were introduced. The main research is as follows:1.With the maleic acid (MA) and ammonia water (AW, 25% m), Polysuccinimide (PSI) was prepared by thermal polymerization at fixed temperature. The polyaspartic acid (PASP) polymer can be obtained by hydrolyzing PSI. The use of the ammonia gas was avoided. The react condition was optimized.
