Iorganic-organic hybrid compound based on polyoxometalates(POMs) was synthesized through selecting the transition metal cations as templating and multidentate organic ligands and POMs as building blocks based on the principles of molecular design and crystal engineering.It is receiving increasing attention for their interesting conducting , magnetic,electronic and optical properties. POMs has became a very important inorganic building block in constructing molecular based materials ascribing to their chemical, structural and electronic versatility.This paper contains two main parts: the first part is the hydrothermal synthesis of [Ni(bpp)2]2(V4O12) in which the reactant are NiCl2·6H2O,bpp, and NH4VO3. In this compound , (V4O12)4- and bpp act as building blocks and Ni(Ⅱ) acts as template. Crystal structure analysis of this compound show that The covalent structure of it is three-dimensional, and in tetragonal crystal system, space group I4 with the crystal data a - 21.470(3) A|°, b = 21.470(3) A|°, c = 12.929(3) A|°, α =β =γ = 90°, V=5960.2(17) (A|°)3 , Z=8. The crystal structure consists of ∞2[Ni(bpp)2]2+, two-dimensional networksinterpenetrating perpendicularly with each other, and (V4O12)4-, cyclic tetranuclear clusters linking the ∞2[Ni(bpp)2]2+ networks to form a three-dimensional covalently framework. Reflectance spectroscopy study revealed insulator nature for the crystal with an optical energy gap of 2.70 eV.The second part is the synthesis of [Co(C5H4NCOO)2(H2O)4],...
