In recent years, due to the great potential practical applications in many field, such as catalysis, fast ion conductor, ferroelectric materials, piezoelectric materials, optics materials and their intriguing structural motifs, the design and synthesis of novel organic-inorganic hybrid polymers have attracted great attentions. As a branch of hybrid system, silver (lead) iodide coordination polymers are becoming an ever-increasing interested field, which could be attributed to the versatility of inorganic moiety itself, and on the other hand, the adjustability of inorganic network with the effect of organic moiety. They represent unusual electric, magnetic and photo properties. Thus, it is significant to synthesize the organic-inorganic hybrid silver (lead) iodide polymer and investigate the rule of assemble, structure and the relation between structures and properties.We carried out the study about the organic-inorganic hybrid silver (lead) iodide polymer and intended to find the relation between properties and structures based on summary of literature search systematically. So far, we synthesized six novel silver -iodide coordination polymers and lead-iodide coordination polymers:{[Cu(en)2][Ag2I4]}n Compound 1{[Ni(en)2][Ag2I4]}n Compound 2{[Cu(2,2,-bipy)3] [Ag3I5]}n Compound 3{[Zn(2,2,-bipy)2(DMF)2] [Ag5I7]}n Compound 4{[Ni(2,2,-bipy)3]2 [Ag7I11]}n Compound 5{[Ni(2,2,-bipy)2(DMF)(H2O)][Ag10I12]?2DMF}n Compound 6{[Cu(en)2][Pb2I6]}n Compound 7{[TVDA][(PbI3)NO3]?H2O}n Compound 8[(PhPBu)3(Pb3I9)]n Compound 9At the same time, the IR spectrums of these novel compounds have been characterized. The UV-Vis and fluorescent spectrum are employed to characterize six compounds of them.
