Purifying and disinfection of indoor atmosphere gained more and more attention, as environmental pollution becomes increasingly serious. Nanometer titanium dioxide (TiO2) can be used as photocatalysis semi-conductor inorganic antimicrobial. It has the function of broad spectrum anti-fungus, and, simultaneously, nanometer TiO2 can catalyze formaldehyde and other harmful gas to decompose under ordinary temperature and non-pressurized condition. The chemical character of nanometer TiO2 is stable and it is non-harmful to human body, the catalysis stays long.Reports on nanometer TiO2 at home and abroad mainly use ultraviolet ray as the exited source of photocatalysis. However, using ultraviolet ray in room and public places to control gaseous pollution is not suitable. So, it is necessary to develop new photocatalyst of visible light activity and study its catalytic character.The behavior of home-made photocatalyst spray has been studied in laboratory.
