In this dissertation, based on the basic principle of polymer filling and modification, with compatibilizing system, reinforcing and toughening system and non-halogen flame-retarding system, non-halogen flame retardant wood/plastics composite with good comprehensive properties was prepared and its properties, interface interaction mechanism and flame retarding mechanism were studied. On the whole, this dissertation was divided into two parts. In the first part, much work was done to study the mechanical properties and processability of polyethylene/wood flour composite, including the effect of type and trademark of polyethylene, drying process and particle size of wood flour, wood flour content, and alkaline treatment of wood flour on the mechanical properties of the composite. In order to enhance the interfacial interaction between hydrophilic wood flour and hydrophobic polyethylene matrix, different coupling agent were used to treat wood flour, and the compatibilizing effect of these treatments were evaluated. Scanning electron microscope and infrared spectrum were used to characterize the interfacial interaction between PE and wood flour, and the interfacial compatibilizing mechanism was discussed. The synergic reinforcing effect of nano-CaCO3 with wood flour on PE was also elucidated. In the second part, based on the idea that wood flour can acts as not only organic filler, but also an important component of non-halogen flame retardant system—carbonization agent, ammonium polyphosphate(APP) and...
