The effect of Cu, Cd, Pb, Zn , As on the growth, the physiological and biochemical index and the character of heavy metals accumlation of Juncus Effuses were studied by using soil cultules method, the Eco-toxicological effect critical value of Cu, Cd, Pb, Zn,As in soil were primary formulated. The effect of EDTA and different amendents on the growth and the character of heavy metals accumlation of Juncus Effuses which grew on the lead/zinc mine tailings contaimanted soil were also researched. At last, the potential of Juncus effuses for phytoremediation of lead/zinc mine tailings contaimanted soil was systematically disscussed according to the results above. The main results were as follows:the Cd, Pb, Cu could stimulate the growth of Juncus Effuses within low concentration scale of Environmental Quality Standard for Soil in china(GB15618-95), but inhabited in high concentration scale. Treating with As (except for the yield of aboveground) and Zn , the growth of Juncus Effuses were inhabited in whole design concentrtion scale. The experiment also indicated that the heavy metal single pollution affect the yield of biomass aboveground more evident than the yield of biomass under ground of Juncus Effuses. Considering of the extent of inhabition of five heavy metals to growth of Juncus Effuses, the order as follows: Zn> As > Cu > Pb > Cd . the soil criteria value of Cd , Pb , Cu can be established as 10 mg·kg-1 , 100 mg·kg-1 and 100~200mg·kg-1 respectively by means of reference index of biamass on ground of Juncus Effuses decresed<10% and Juncus Effuses may be not fited to plant in the soil polluted by Zn. The soil criteria value of As in soil remains to study further, with the treatment concentration of different heavy metal rising, the Synthesiztion of chlorophyll in Juncus Effuses was inhabited greatly and exist the obvious dosage-effect relation. The response of three defensive enzymes of Juncus Effuses was different according to the concenration of heavy metal. It presented that three defensive enzymes have strong automatic regulation ability to protect cell membrane from destroy within lower concentration scale of Environmental Quality Standard for Soil. But in higher concentration scale, the three kind of enzymes presented different varity trend. The order of growth exhibition and...
