The effect of V, Ti, Mo, Ni and Mn on the growth, the physiological andbiochemical index and the character of Juncus Effuses in condition of single andcompound pollution were studied in the way of soil cultules, and the research of itsdistribution and accumulation in Juncus Effuses were made. The main results were asfollows:In single contaminated soil, the V could stimulate the growth of Juncus Effuses withdifferent scale, high concentration of Ti poisons its growth, and that Mo and Mn showtheir inhibition to Juncus Effuses when the concentrations are respectively higher than100mg/kg and 800mg/kg. Ni grows better in the concentration between 60 and 600mg/kg.The soil criteria value of Ti, Mo, Mn can be established as 200mg·kg-1, 100 mg·kg-1 and800mg·kg-1 respectively by means of reference index of biamass on ground of JuncusEffuses decresed<10%and the soil criteria value of V and Ni in soil remains to studyfurther. The tolerances of Juncus Effuses to the single metalare take turns to be: Ni, Mn,V,Ti, Mo. The responses of chlorophyll, SOD and CAT of Juncus Effuses are differentaccording to the concentrations of the heavy metal. Chlorophyll, SOD and CAT are activein some concentration and will aren't when the plant can't tolerant. High concentration ofheavy metal makes the increase of MDA; as a result it makes Juncus Effuses grow slower.Juncus Effuses can well tolerate in compound contaminated soil. It is showed thatunder the compound pollution the plant height and new shoot number of Juncus Effusesare higher or larger than CK, and the growth above ground is significantly stimulated. It ispresented by correlated analysis that Ni content in soil inhibits the growth of JuncusEffuses and has significant effect on its height, new shoot number and the above groundbiomass. Meanwhile the height and new shoot number of Juncus Effuses significantlycorrelate with the content of V and Mo added to the soil. CAT activity is inhibited with thereciprocity of different metal, the content of chlorophyll and MDA are mainly effected bythe content of V, while SOD's activity is mainly by Ti.The distribution of V, Ti, Mo, Ni and Mn in Juncus Effuses is different under thecondition of single heavy metal pollution. In general, the concentrations of V, Ti and Ni are higher in root than that are in shoot, Mo and Mn are higher in shoot when theconcentrations are lower, and tend to accumulated in root with the growth of concentration.Under the single treatment of V, Ti, Mo, Ni and Mn, the content of V, Mo and Ni in JuneusEffuses are significantly correlated with their content added to the soil by the contrast ofMn.The distribution and accumulation of the five kinds of heavy metal are different indifferent part of Juncus Effuses, thus the compound heavy metal polluted shows differenttrend from the single metal polluted because of their compound effect. V and Ti are mainlyaccumulated in root, while Mo tends to be in the shoot part of Juneus Effuses. Thedistribution of Ni is various according to its concentration in soil. The ratio of Mn betweenshoot and root are basically constant. Under the compound pollution condition, the contentof V or Ni in soil respectively inhibit the absorption of Ni and Ti or Mn. And Ni increasesabsorption of V in shoot; meanwhile, Mo content is correlated significantly with its contentin soil.
