A novel monomer 4,4-[sulfonylbis(1,4-phenylene)dioxy]dibenzoyl chloride (SODBC) with high purity was synthesized. A series of Poly(arly ether sulfone ether ketone) PESEK, o-Me-PESEK, m-Me-PESEK, o-Me2-PESEK and Poly(arly ether ether ketone ether sulfone ether ketone) PEEKESEK were synthesized by the reaction of SODBC and 4,4'-diphenoxydiphenylsulfone (DPODPS), 4,4'-di(2-methylphenoxy) diphenylsulfone(o-Me-DPODPS), 4,4 -di(3-methylphenoxy)diphenylsulfone (m-Me-DPODPS), 4,4'-di(2,6-bimethylphenoxy)biphenylsulfone(o-Me2-DPODPS), 1,4-di -phenoylbenzene(DPB), 4,4 -diphenoxytriphenyldiketone(DPOTPDK) respectively, in a mixture of 1,2-dichloroethane (DCE) and N,N-dimethylacetamide (DMAc). These reactions were catalyzed by anhydrous aluminum chloride (AlCl3). The characteristic of polymers were studied by means of advanced analytical techniques including FT-IR, 1H-NMR, 13C-NMR, TG and WAXD. The results show that polymers have high glass transition temperature (Tg), high initial decomposition temperature and excellent solubility.A series of diimide-diacid chloride (DIDC) were synthesized with high yields (86.3-95.3%) by chlorinateing the corresponding diimide-diacid (DIDA) in the mixture of thionyl chloride and N,N' -dimethylformamide(DMF). DIDA were obtained from the reaction of trimellitic anhydride with aromatic diamines (such as 1,4-phenylenediamine, 4,4 -diaminodiphenyl methane, 4,4 -diaminodiphenylsulfone and 4,4-diaminodiphenylether). Another DIDA was synthesized by the reaction of pyromellitic dianhydride and 4-aminobenzoic acid. Diimide-diacid (DIDA) and diimide-diacid chloride (DIDC) were characterized by FT-IR, 1H-NMR and 13C-NMR. A series of Poly(aryl ether sulfone imide ketone)(PESEKI), Poly(aryl ether ether ketone imide ketone)PEEKIK were prepared by low-temperature-solution polycondensation of 4,4 -bis(N-trimellitimide diacid chloride)diphenylmethane /4,4 -bis(N-Trimellitimide diacid chloride)diphenylsulfone (DIDC-M/S) with 4,4 -diphenoxydiphenylsulfone(DPODPS), 4,4 -di(2-methylphenoxy)diphenylsulfone (o-Me-DPODPS), 4,4-di(3-methylphenoxy)diphenylsulfone(m-Me-DPODPS), 4,4-...
