Ultrafine-grained metallic materials attract great attention from scientific research field due to their peculiar microstructures and physical, mechanical and chemical properties and the great potential for practical applications. In this paper, ultrafine-grained metallic materials of two kinds of alloys have been fabricated by two different sever plastic deformation.During the deformation of single-phase alloy, the grain refining and growth would get balance due to the dynamic recovery and the re-crystallization after refining to some extent, and the grain size does not decrease further during subsequent deformation. In multiphase alloys, however, grain boundary immigration should be effectively prevented by the second-phase particles, and the recovery and recrystallization be inhibited.
