Equal Channel Angular Processing is a technique subjecting mateials to extensivedeformation by simple shear and used to make an ultrafine grained mateial. So far, themain research on ECAP has been conducted on structure, mechanical properties ofmaterials deformed by Equal Channel Angular Estruding (ECAE) and strain of ECAP.Few studies have been made on process analysis of Equal Channel Angular Drawing (ECAD) and stress of ECAP in the world.According to plane plastic dynamic problem, this paper made dynamic analysis ofECAP firstly. By calculation, the formulas of calculation for stress of ECAP (includingECAE and ECAD) were resulted. The conditions of stably ECAD was built. The terminalchannel angle of die of ECAD was obtained. According to it die of ECAD for purealuminum was deSigned and manufactured. With this die, at first time pure aluminumwas successfully subjected to ECAD at room temperature internally. Microscopy wasconducted on longitudinal sections of the sample. Tensile and hardness tests were carriedOu to characterize the mechanical properties. All of these experiments show that thetechnique of ECAD can increas and improve the mechanical properties of materialsgreatly. |
