Studies On The Functional And Mixed Beverage "JNC" To Amplify Immune Ability

Functional and mixed beverage JNC is a kind of high nutritious beverage prepared from lyophilized powder of royal jelly, bee pollen extracts and honey. In order to select the best formula and its function, the efficacy of the three ingredients were tested and different dosage of JNC was compared to sort out the enhanced effect among ingredients as well as its safety. This study focused on the possibility of enhancing mice's immunity with JNC in accordance with "The evaluate procedure and verification methodology of functional food". The preliminary results are as follows:1.Formula selectionThe beverage was prepared with different dosage of lyophilized powder of royal jelly (0.1 0.2, 0.3g),bee pollen extracts(0.05, 0.10, 0.15g)and honey (9.0, 12.0, 15.0g)and diluted with water up to 100ml to get different concentration of beverage. The best formula was selected as the combination of 0.3g of royal jelly, 0.1g of bee pollen extracts and 9.0g of honey through orthogonal test.2.Immune effects:The JNC solutions with the dosages of 2.0, 4.0, 8.0, 15.0, 30.0, 40.0, 50.0g/kg were feed on the tested mice while water as control group. The measurement of the weight of immunity organs, the phagocytosis of macrophage, DTH and the value of blood serum hemolysin were carried out to appraise JNC immunity effects. The results showed that after feeding 8.0-40.0g/kg of JNC on mice for ten days, the index of thymus gland demonstrated significant difference with control group, but no different in terms of the index of spleen. Both the index of thymus gland and spleen have significant difference with control group after feeding 8.0-30.0g/kg and 15.0g/kg of JNC on mice respectively for 20 days while no difference appeared after feeding on mice for 30 days.After continuous feeding 15.0g/kg, 30.0g/kg and 40.0g/kg of JNC on mice for 7days, the...
