In the field of wastewater treatment, using traditional technology, such as activated sludge method and deformation process, biological oxidation ditch method, biological denitrification and phosphorus removal method(A/O,A/A/O and other improved method), A-B and SBR method, etc, effluent quality can reach the ordinary water quality standard of effluent. But it is difficult to meet the demand of recycling of urban wastewater, and the investment for them is large, occupying land is big, in addition the management of these method are difficult, can not meet the demand of high efficiency and energy saving. So many kinds of new method were studied and developed. Biological aerated filter (BAF) which overcomes the insufficiencies of traditional method is a new method developed based on them.As a new method of wastewater treatment, Biological aerated filter (BAF) has been applied abroad for a time. Experience showed, using this method, the water quality of effluent is better, with advantage of low investment in capital construction, occupying less land, low running cost and convenient management, especially, the modularized structure of this method is good to the future development. The method can be run as a separate system; also can be combined with other wastewater treatment. Biological aerated filter (BAF), as a new method replacing traditional methods, is method fit for our country.The paper analyzed the treating mechanism and dynamics of biological aerated filter in theory, studied the treating effects and running conditions of three wastewater treatment by BAF through experiment, explored the common law of them, the results are as follows:1. Mechanism of pollutant removal by biological filtering tank can be summed up as follows: biological oxidation, filtering and interception, biological flocculation and predation of food chain.2. Dynamic mode of organic matter in the biological filtering tank reactor is SSeKh10= ?,the mode reflects dynamical change of radicle concentration along the flow in tank reactor.3. Through analyzing the removal of NH3-N dynamical of the biological aerated filtering tank reactor, indicates that the removal reaction of NH3-N of single step biological aerated filter can divide into three different dynamical speed-limited area.That is dissolved oxygen concentration controlling area ,two radicles...
