Anaerobic biological treatment technology was considered to be the main technology for high concentration industrial wastewater with many advantages, such as, lower energy consumption, little space, high volumetric loading rate and little residual sludge and so on. At present, the wildly adopted anaerobic bioreactors still had some insufficiency, such as complex structures, incomplete mixing and difficult separation of gas-liquid-solid three-phase and so on. Therefore, it had an important practical significance to develop an innovative and efficient anaerobic bioreactor. In the case of variety problem of anaerobic bioreactor, an innovative anaerobic bioreactor of incorporeity gas-liquid-solid three-phase separator was independently developed. The gas was separated preferentially at negative pressure conditions, and solid-liquid was separated forcefully by sub-millifiltration module. Three different stages of the reactor were studied after its inoculated sludge, they were startup of test, acidification regulating and restart, on the basis of the above study(1.4kgCOD/(m3·d)), future studies was processed in the paper.(1) The anaerobic bioreactor was employed for high-strength organic synthetic wastewater treatment, And then the start-up process and performance of the reactor were also researched. The result showed that volumetric loading rate was 12.96 kgCOD/(m3·d) at start-up stage, the COD removal and the effluent SS were respectively 81% and 343mg/L,solid-liquid separation was obtained well, effluent pH of the reactor was kept above 7.20, and the optimal pH 7.50was obtained.(2) After start-up, Influent loading was ascended to investigate handling capacity of the reactor. The biggest loading rate was identified for 17.28 kgCOD/(m3·d) by operating performance and treatment effect. the sludge concentration redistributed along the height of reactor to form a stable sludge bed 40cm high in which the granular sludge was suspended in a good state, and nascent granular sludge appeared in 40~80cm to the bottom of reactor. The optimum pH range was 7.50~7.80. It was suitable to chose 17.28 kgCOD/(m3·d) as the maximal volumetric loading rate of anaerobic reactor when operating parameters were controlled well.solid-liquid separation become the bottleneck of increasing volumetric loading rate. (3) Operating performance was studied by pore size and backwashing time, and the performance of sub-millfortration module coupled with anaerobic bioreactor was investigated. The result showed that the pore size had a great impact on water quality. The optimal module pore size was 76μm when influent COD and the volumetric loading rate were 6000mg/L and 12.96kgCOD/(m3-d). Backwashing time had little effect on water quality.(4) In the static test, the filtration process was investigated by different sludge concentrations and initial flux. The result showed that there were no flux depression when different sludge concentration and inital flux were 1~20g/L and 150 L/(m2·h). The lower the sludge concentration, the lower the effluent SS, the better water quality was obtained easily; at the 16.5g/L sludge concentration and the different initial flux, the lower the initial flux, the slower the flux decay, the lower the effluent SS, and water quality was observed well.
