So far from Macharg, land suitability analysis did not change the basic tenets, however, the application of methods and means of their have been got considerable development. Today,the results of the evaluation of the appropriateness of geographic information technologies is based on GIS spatial analysis, and eventually came to the land of ecological appropriateness of models.In this paper, the major land suitability analysis and evaluation of ecological methods is detailed explored, analyzing the landscape ecology, urban geography, biology, multidisciplinary principles and the application of technology in space based on GIS analytical methods, and used on the basis of details in the two cities around the practice of ecological planning applications. Finally for land suitability analysis and evaluation of the ecological outcome guiding urban development and space distribution, ecological security of a pattern, green space planning etc. is initially explored.
