Study On The Processes For Preparation Of Seratrodast As Antiasthmatics And Olanzapine As Antipsychotics

The processes for preparation of Seratrodast and Olanzapine were studied.Seratrodast is a non-prostanoid antagonist of TXA₂ / PGH₂ receptors. It is oral effective and widely used for curing bronchial asthma. Seratrodast and its key intermediate 7-hydroxy-7-phenylheptanoic acid were synthesized in the first part of the dissertation. Pimelic acid route and morpholine route were selected to prepare 7-hydroxy-7-phenylheptanoic acid, especially with an emphasis on morpholine route.In the pimelic acid route, the process for preparation of 7-hydroxy-7-phenylheptanoic acid by acyl chlorination, F-C acylation, hydrolysis and reduction from ethyl pimelate which was prepared from pimelic acid was studied.
