Electrical Discharge Machining(EDM) has great advantages than traditional machining in machining hard processing material (Ni,Ti,etc.):no material hardness and intensity limit, no residual stress and so on. In the machining of micro demesion, because of the difficulty of the make of formed electrode and the severe electrode wear, it is reasonable to apply micro-EDM milling using simple shape electrode.The developments of MEMS, Micro Machining technology make it possible to fabricate Micro Turbine Engine(MTE). This paper designs a micro compre-ssor for a micro turbine engine on the base of consulting large turbine engine design standards and the shapes of micro compressors which have been designed internal and abroad, then simulates the flow of the gas in the moving blades of the compressor with software FLUENT, optimizes the design of the stationary impeller, simulates the gas flow in it at last, gets the pressure rate:2.3. In this paper we manufacture the moving impeller on Ni and the stationary impeller on Ti with Mitsubishi EDM Machine Tool EA8. Technological testing is carried out and good technological parameter is got; because of the specialties of the machine tool, the NC words forming from software UG is not suitable for EA8 and we make a programme to compensate the electrode ware after milling every layer; the final maching effect is acceptable.There is an excess wall leaving in one direction on the moving impeller, because the horizontal rate of the workpiece surface wasn't ensured. The similar situation doesn't appear on the stationary impeller after the horizontal rate of the workpiece surface is ensured. At last, the feasibility of the manufacture of micro-compressor with ECM-EDM complex technology is discussed, and advices are put forward for the later work.
